BASAL CELL CARCINOMA

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is particularly common in people with fair skin. It is uncommon in people with darkly pigmented skin. It affects order than younger people, men more than women.

Approximately 70 percent of BCCs occur on the face, the sun exposed area, and 15 percent present on the trunk.

Majority of BCCs remain localized, and the growth rate is variable. Unfortunately, a small number of BCC can become locally aggressive or metastatic.
